On the 3rd of July (2008) the Airlift Veterans visited the Dahlem area.

They had lunch at the well known Italian restaurant at Clayallee next to Huettenweg.

I met the group here.

Then we drove to the house where General Clay lived in the late 40´s
(Auf dem Grat 50).

Then we visited the residence of General Clay (Im Dol 48) which is now the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco.

We took place there in the living room for a few words.

Later the governing mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, the president of the Federal Republik of Germany, Horst Köhler, and a former president and mayor of Berlin, Richard von Weizäcker, joined the group.
